On this beautiful day, the happiness this couple shared reflected in their wedding.

The Proposal
“We went out for dinner at a local restaurant we often eat at, ‘nothing fancy,’” said Bree, “after dinner we planned to visit my parent’s for coffee.”

During dinner, Bree explained, Krystian wanted to go back to their place to pick up his pants so her mother could hem them for him. She told him, ‘It’s Christmas time and my mom is too busy to hem your pants.”

Then she received a text from her mom asking her to bring an item she had borrowed back to her. Bree said, “that meant we had to go home.”

When they arrived at their house, she told Krystian she would wait in the car while he got the stuff. Krystian ran into their house and a few seconds later he was calling her cell phone.

“I told her the Christmas tree fell over and I needed help picking it up,” says Krystian.

Bree said, “As I entered our house, I saw Krystian on one knee and beautiful roses and champagne everywhere. It was so sweet! I knew my mom set it up.”

The Wedding
The romantic Victorian setting of the venue and the creative imagination and attention to every detail by wedding planner, Rachel Clingen, set the stage for the grandeur of this sophisticated wedding.

The venue was draped in monochromatic hues from white to butter cream. A kiss of sparkle was added to a well wishing tree as shimmering glass ornaments hung from its branches. The head table featured tall white pedestal vases filled with cream on cream roses, hydrangeas and daisies.

And, the cake stood four feet tall and weighed 350 lbs; covered with tiers of butter cream rosettes and adorned with ribbon.
“The cake amazed the guests,” said Bree. “Every detail was incredible from the decadent cake to the beautiful décor!”

The Wedding Attire
Bree’s fit-and-flare gown, custom designed by Partina, in an Italian silk taffeta and French Chantilly lace fabric showcased her feminine silhouette. The elongated bodice was embellished with lace and Swarovski crystals scattered throughout and trimmed along the empire line. The sweetheart neckline featured spaghetti straps embellished with crystals and a detailed crystal brooch asymmetrically placed on one side of her skirt.
The bridesmaids wore a strapless mermaid gown by Dessy, in a pearl honey colour. The dress was trimmed with crystal beading at the empire line.

Krystian, the groom, looked debonair in a black double vented Hugo Boss suit, white shirt and white silk ascot. The white handkerchief embroidered with the couples initials by the bride’s mother, was a sentimental touch that added to their special day.
The groomsmen also wore a black single vented Hugo Boss suit with cream shirt and silk ascot given to them as a gift from the bride and groom.

The Most Memorable Moment
“There were so many memorable moments,” said Bree. “I loved walking into the reception hall as Tony Monaco from Z103.5 (a Toronto radio station) introduced us, while they played U2’s ‘It’s a Beautiful Day!’”

“I also loved walking down the aisle seeing Krystian and feeling excited to get to him,” she says.

Wedding Advice
“My advice,” Bree says, “Everything will always work out no matter how stressful it may seem at times.”

“Don’t get upset with family members, remember they love you and are just trying to help.

“Spend only what you can afford, don’t go into debt. Save money by ‘doing it yourself’ so you can keep on budget.”
