Jenny Lee would be considered by many as having had an enviable childhood. The daughter of a style conscious mother, Lee vividly remembers trips to local custom tailors for weekly fittings.
At the early age of six, she started designing her own clothes, choosing the fabrics herself, with a keen eye for colour and textiles. This creative experimentation and the influence of her mother, encouraging her to take fashion design, hugely impacted her career as a designer. After graduating from the prestigious Parsons School of Design, Lee relocated to California and subsequently opened her first boutique in Beverly Hills in 1995.
With the success of her boutique, she decided to show her collection nationally in 2003. Her first show was a resounding success at Bridal Couture week in New York. The response was overwhelming and word of mouth spread about the amazing fit and quality craftsmanship of her gowns.
In 2005, Lee was awarded the, “New Designer of the Year”, which is a most impressive accolade for a young designer.
Every gown Lee sells is handcrafted by a single person from the very first stitch to the last. These elements, coupled with the highest quality fabrics and superb pattern cutting skill, come together to create the most sought after effect.
