Nina Duong is internationally recognized as one of Canada’s rising stars in the bridal industry.
Originally from Vietnam, Ms. Duong's natural talents for design come from a long line of successful and respected designers in her family. To develop her talents, she studied fashion design in Hong Kong while continuing to perfect her skills with practical work experience in the fashion industry.
With the desire to take her career to the next level, Ms. Duong opened the Nina Duong Haute Couture bridal boutique, in 2001, in Toronto, Ont.
Her fashions have been featured in movies and bridal magazines throughout North America.
From the moment you step inside Nina Duong Haute Couture, you know Ms. Duong's goal is to create a perfect dress for the bride. Ms. Duong will adjust a gown the day of the wedding if a bride finds herself a little slimmer due to last minute jitters. “If the bride's not happy, I am not happy," she says.
Attention to detail is another trademark of Nina Duong Haute Couture fashions and it shows in the quality and craftsmanship of her gowns. Only the finest silks, imported handmade lace, Swarovski crystals and pearls are used to create her collection. Each gown is custom made for every bride with the option to personalize her dress to her style of wedding.
What's next? "I have plans for a new workshop, a jewellery collection and bridal footwear to match the gowns,” she says. Her aim is to make the bride's life as beautiful and simple as possible so, "she can enjoy her special day without a worry."
