When David proposed it was the perfect ending to a fairy tale story. We had been dating for 6 years and a year into our relationship decided to document big highlights of our lives by taking pictures with letters. We were spelling: 'WE ALWAYS KNEW'. The idea was to show this collection at our wedding if one day we got married. Three years into our relationship David decided to move to Germany for pilot training, however this two year long distance relationship was only a small challenge compared to our love for each other.

Approaching the end of our project and our 6.5 year mark, David recommends taking the last letter in our home tome of Montreal. It was Thanksgiving weekend, and instead of just posing for our last letter on Mount Royal, he had something bigger planned. He had organized a secret team to be there and at the right time open up a banner behind us. I didn't notice until he later showed me the picture in the view finder. Before showing me the picture he said that 'although our project is ending, he didn't want to stop creating amazing memories with me, and that this should not be our last letter, but our first....', then I saw the picture. The banner behind us said: ''ill you marry me?'' and we were holding the W!!! When I saw it - time stopped. Everyone on the mountain was clapping and I just remember seeing my future husband go down on one knee with a ring in his hand. I was so overwhelmed with happiness, that I never even said yes... I just jumped into his arms. It still feels like a dream come true.

Luckily he got the whole moment on tape, because with all of the emotions, I wasn't able to remember everything! For me it was the perfect ending to our project and beginning of something new. I can't believe that he had put so much time and thought into it. And to think, he could have proposed in any city around the world, but decided to do it in Montreal so that I could share it with my family and friends right away. He truly made me the happiest girl in the world!
