My name is Stephanie Sampath and my fiance's name is Mike Pitre. Mike and I met at my high school Prom night at a mutual friend's after party but this is not when our story began.

Our story began on July 1 when my friends and I went down to the beach to watch Canada's Day fireworks. Little did I know that Mike was also invited to join us, so as soon as I saw him I was speechless. We all sat around waiting for the fireworks when I decided that I needed a drink and when I asked if anyone else needed one Mike got up and said that he would go with me.

On our way to get a drink and our way back to the group, Mike reached over and gently took my hand in his. I knew from this moment that I would spend the rest of my life with Mike. After this we went on 3 dates before Mike asked me, "so like are we official yet?", I replied with "so like I guess we are."

Mike was never really the romantic type but tried his best and from then we started dating and were inseparable, we went on to attend the same college, and were both introduced to a lot of firsts like camping, travelling and moving into our first apartment on April 1, 2010.

We always talked about our future plans about getting married, having a home and having a family and once we moved in together we agreed that we would be engaged a year after living together.

On April 2, 2021 we both had breakfast with my parents at a cafe and then went home to go on with our busy weekend. As I was cleaning the kitchen before we left and I turned around to ask Mike what he wanted for dinner, he was down on one knee with a beautiful ring. Mike said that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me to be his wifey. I started to cry and was shaking and said YES! Little did I know that during breakfast when I left the table to pay, Mike asked my parents for my hand in marriage and wanted their blessings before he proposed. I am now going to be marrying my best friend and soul mate on September 14, 2013.
