Alternative Bouquets: Brilliantly BreathtakingBaby’s breath is simple way to have a full bouquet at the fraction of the cost.
Materials Tip: Baby’s breath bouquets dry very nicely and make great keepsakes.
Instructions Step 2: Tie a knot in the middle of the ribbon and loop a few inches on each side. (It will look like you’re tying shoe laces using the “bunny ears” method) Step 3: Loop the ribbon a second time on each side. Pinch the middle and secure with floral wire by wrapping it around the middle of the bow and then twisting the wire at the back. Step 4: Arrange baby’s breath into a bouquet formation, use as much or as little as you like. Step 5: Using floral wire, attach the ribbon you created in steps 1 - 3 to the top of the stems by twisting the wire around the centre of the bow and the top of the bouquet. Step 6: Pin the bow in place at its centre. Step 7: Starting just under the bow at the back of the bouquet, use a hot glue gun to secure a long strand of ribbon to the stems. Step 8: Tightly wind ribbon down the length of the stems. If the ribbon is double sided, you may wish to twist the ribbon half way down and continue wrapping. This will expose both sides of the ribbon. Step 9: When you’ve reached the end, use a small dab of hot glue to keep the ribbon in place.
