The Wedding
“Our wedding day was perfect,” says Helen. “Joey’s uncle did a phenomenal job in the hall. The food was delicious and the décor was breathtaking. Everything was so elegant and classy – just the way I wanted it.

"Our colour scheme was cream and brown and the flower arrangements (tall glass vases filled with stones, twigs and Calla Lilys) looked spectacular on the tables.

Wedding Attire 
Helen’s gown was made by designer Jim Hjelm. It was a satin taffeta, strapless, dropped waist trumpet gown. Helen’s cathedral veil was trimmed with lace. Her only complaint was that the gown was heavy by the end of the evening.

Joey wore a pinstriped black suit and his groomsmen wore black with mocha vests and ties that matched the bridesmaid’s gowns. The bridesmaids wore strapless mocha gowns with a lace bodice.

The Honeymoon
“We went to Barbados for our Honeymoon. We were married just before Valentine’s Day so on Valentine’s we went on a boat cruise and watched the sunset," Helen recalls. "It was so romantic. In the day we would just relax and soak up the sun like two beach bums.”

“Enjoy the day and every minute! Don’t stress because in the end it is all about how much you love each other. And brides…eat!"
