Nina Duong is internationally recognized as one of Canada’s rising stars in the bridal industry.  Originally from Vietnam, her natural talents for design came from a long line of successful and respected designers in her family that influenced her from an early age. To develop her talents, Nina studied fashion design in Hong Kong while continuing to perfect her skills with practical work experience in the fashion industry. As I enter the salon Nina greets me with a radiant smile; it is hard to believe with all her acclaim that she still has one-on-one time with each of her clients. From the moment you step inside Nina Duong Haute Couture her goal is to create a perfect dress for the bride. Nina will adjust a gown the day of the wedding if a bride finds herself a little slimmer due to last minute jitters. As Nina said, “If the bride is not happy, I am not happy”.

I asked Nina, “With all your success, what is next?” Nina smiles sweetly and excitedly, and tells me,” I have plans for a new workshop, a jewellery collection and bridal footwear to match the gowns.” Her aim is to make life as beautiful and simple as possible for the bride so she can enjoy her special day without a worry.
